How SplitSmart works

Send your inbound to Tactical. We’ll handle the split to Amazon.

  1. 1

    Set up your account

Onboard through the SplitSmart dashboard in about 24 hours. No lengthy implementation project or integration timeline.

  2. 2

    Send us your inbound

Send your consolidated freight to Tactical on your normal shipping timeline. We prep, split, and ship it to Amazon’s assigned inbound destinations.

  3. 3

    Reach more of Amazon’s network

Pallets typically arrive at their assigned destinations within 5–10 days. Once received, units can become available for purchase while Amazon distributes inventory across its network.

Amazon-directed vs SplitSmart

Minimum shipment splits

  • Amazon assigns the minimum number of inbound locations, typically one.
  • Placement fees may apply, in addition to freight.
  • Amazon deadline: September 9.

Optimized shipment splits with SplitSmart

  • Amazon assigns multiple inbound locations; SplitSmart handles prep and transportation.
  • No Amazon placement fee. Flat-rate freight from $220 per pallet, $195 if you warehouse with us.
  • Amazon deadline: September 16.

Questions we get before the first call

What does it cost?
Zero placement fees. Cross-dock starts at $220 per pallet, $195 if you warehouse with us.
Do I have to move all my inbound?
No. Most brands start with the SKUs where sell-through velocity matters most, then expand once they see the coverage difference.
How fast can we start?
Account setup runs through the SplitSmart dashboard in about 24 hours. Your first shipment still moves on freight time, but there is no implementation project standing between you and your next inbound. That's why the September 16 optimized-split deadline is still reachable.
Isn't this just a placement-fee workaround?
No, and if that is all you are solving for, it is not worth switching. Received isn't the finish line. While Amazon moves your units through its network, your listing shows a later ship date, and the buyer who wanted it tomorrow buys from your competitor. Wider placement is how you shorten that window.
Who is this not for?
SplitSmart starts at 50 pallets per month. Below that the economics do not work in your favor, and we will say so on the call.
